Cast Album Production and Distribution
Producer Jason Turchin used to press CDs in his law school apartment on a 4-CD burner more than 2 decades ago. Music distribution has changed dynamically over the past several decades. Our team of forward-thinking members can work with you to not only produce the album, but we have a group of investors to help fund production. We look for projects that can be impactful, and are diverse in styles and artists. TBIC Music Group believes in music production and distribution in the digital age. We can help with traditional media, like CDs and vinyl, and digital distribution like iTunes, Amazon Music, Spotify and more.
Theatrical Live Captures
Most traditional Broadway and Off-Broadway shows are one and done, meaning they raise capital to do a run and then the show is over. However, a live capture can give the show a life well beyond the traditional model.
Benefits of a theatrical live capture
Investors have an additional revenue stream to recoup investment or earn profit
The show can reach audiences around the world
The actors and creative team can get exposure to more audiences
A capture can help with stock and amateur licensing by giving a view of a fully realized production
What is a live capture?
A live capture, also known as a "pro-shot", is a professional video of a fully realized theatrical production. A capture can be done with varying budgets, from simple handheld cameras to iphones to full production and studio quality cameras. With today's technology, shows have options to produce their live capture to fit within their budget.
Proshot and Live Capture Production Company
As producers of live captures and live streaming musicals and plays, our team can capture your show in a professional manner for distribution. Broadway and Off-Broadway shows already work on tight budgets, but revenue streams are limited. Many traditional producers think in the box where they raise money for a show and if the show doesn't do well then it closes.
Producers should plan for a live-capture as part of their capitalization. Even if the show closes, the show can have a lifetime of revenue from distribution of the live-capture. There are several ways to monetize a live-capture:
License the capture to a streaming network like Amazon, Disney+, Netflix or HBOMax
Stream the capture on demand through Stellar Live or another streaming on demand platform
Create a reel from the footage for future licensing of the musical or play
Use the capture as a sample to license the musical or play around the world to give a glimpse of what the show could look like
Extract the audio from the video to have a distributable cast album without requiring more time and expense in a studio
